Search campaign increases ROI by 2500% with 89% less spend

Oasis, a well-known high street fashion retailer sought our expertise as its UK search agency, to dramatically improve the performance of its German (DE) PPC account.

Objectives:

Oasis, a well-known high street fashion retailer sought our expertise as its UK search agency, to dramatically improve the performance of its German (DE) PPC account. After taking over the account from the incumbent agency we were set the following objectives:

  • Increase revenue and achieve a ROI of 8:1
  • Increase brand awareness

Strategy:

Upon hand over of the account, we undertook a full audit and quickly realised that although the previous agency had attained a high number of impressions, its ads had an extremely low click through rate (CTR) which was reflected in the lack of conversions. This was ultimately affecting Oasis DE's brand visibility and ROI.

In order to achieve the brand's ultimate goal of improving brand visibility and revenue, we decided to spread the brand's ad spend across Search (Product Listings Ads & Dynamic Search Ads) and Display campaigns (contextual and interest targeting).

Results:

By encompassing both Search and Display, and creating a granular account structure we were able to achieve the results Oasis DE craved: a 76% increase in YOY revenue, an ROI of 52:1 (a 2,500% increase!) and an 89% decrease in spend!

Revenue:

  • 2,500% increase in ROI
  • 76% increase in revenue
  • 89% decrease in spend
  • 85% decrease in Cost Per Click
  • 94% decrease in Cost Per Acquisition

Brand Awareness:

  • 57 x increase in CTR
  • 90% decrease in impressions. Although this dropped significantly, we increased conversions by 64% showing that we were targeting the relevant target market
