Have you met Emily?
While most of our nerdy band of analysts could wax poetic on their love of video-games, and one or two may even be able to tell you the best video-game ever made, only Emily could actually build you one. With skills in programming, storyboarding and design, she can create entire worlds, scripting procedural cities, forests and oceans just begging to be explored.
Five random facts about yourself:

Why did you choose to work at Merkle | Periscopix over other companies?
For me, what made Merkle | Periscopix stand out from the crowd was the incredibly friendly and lively atmosphere, apparent even from the website. (How long is too long to spend reading the 'About the Team' pages?!) Reading through the job description, I couldn’t believe how many of my interests being a Web Analyst combined, from programming and problem solving, to developing communication and presentation skills. Having little prior exposure to analytics, researching into the field and completing the interview tasks really gave me an insight into how fascinating it could be. The opportunity to build a career based on my fundamental skills with a desire to learn sounded perfect.
What does your role as Web Analyst involve?
My day-to-day work involves communicating and building relationships with clients, using Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to set up and maintain solutions, and developing and sharing ideas and resources. We are encouraged to write blogs, case studies and present work to the team, all of which help to develop a rounded set of skills, allowing you to focus on completely different styles of task throughout the day. Since joining, I have also designed and created infographics for clients, which ties into my more creative side. I currently dedicate 20% of my time to learning new tools and platforms in order to expand my capabilities, as we are always looking for ways to deepen our knowledge and advance our offering as a company.
What do you love the most about working at Merkle | Periscopix?
The culture here is exactly as people say, fun and friendly! The company and departmental socials are always entertaining, and 4Thirsty drinks each Friday are a great way to end the week. Above all however, I consider myself very lucky to be able to work with genuinely nice people who are always there to help, are concerned if you’re working late, and are always up for a chat at the pub!
