Ryan hails from Peterborough - he proudly claims it’s the place from where you can see the most sky which was useful for Ryan because as a child he was a keen birdwatcher. Probably to compensate for the flatness of landscape that gives Peterborough all that sky, Ryan spent his childhood juggling many different and varied hobbies including listening to rap music (50 Cent of course), basketball, playing the guitar and, did I tell you about the bird-watching?
This serial hobbyist proceeded onwards and upwards to a Master’s degree in Chemistry at the University of Bath including a year in industry working for an oil company in an analytical lab. If you need a team-mate for Buckaroo, Ryan’s your man, after some intensive months spent pipetting which makes Ryan a safe pair of hands who works well under pressure. If Buckaroo (or Operation) aren’t your cup of tea, ask him about his dissertation project – one of the more interesting we’ve heard of recently – which involved designing a robotic shark to detect underwater mines!
With an MSc under his belt, Ryan jumped into the world of advertising with his first year spent at a large media company on the ad operations side working with all the big agencies out there. Having trafficked the good, the bad and the ugly on the publisher side, Ryan scouted out the programmatic landscape and joined us to run and build his own campaigns with steady-handed precision and wide-horizon thinking.
