“I'm afraid of losing my obscurity. Genuineness only thrives in the dark. Like celery.”

Aldous Huxley

Dickie is our hybrid west country Essex boy (hearing his accent when he gets drunk is definitely worth the trip to Shad Thames on a Friday night!). Growing up in Colchester with Cornish parents who were both teachers meant that his education didn't stop when he got home from school. This may explain why he is such a passionate and committed long distance runner (he is the current and proud holder of the Periscopix marathon record). Dickie was an entrepreneurial chap organising club nights from an early age; at 16 he hosted his first night (requiring a guardian to enter the club!) and went on to establish himself as a renowned DJ playing Outlook Festival among others.

Dividing his time between Brighton University and Charles University in Prague, Dickie read Philosophy and Politics; throughout university his passion for music dominated much of his spare time and culminated in creating a highly successful music blog which launched a number of young artists that have gone on to be extremely successful. It was through the blog that Dickie developed his catalogue of skills from PHP, UX, web development and optimisation which helped him secure a role at the UK's leader in business process management. After a year elbow deep in tech chat, Dickie started to look for a more dynamic, creative and all round fun environment – Periscopix was the natural choice.
