Laura hails from the leafy town of Godalming in Surrey, where she grew up with her mum, dad, brother and sister. When she was growing up Laura developed a keen love of sports (and Harry Potter) becoming tennis captain and playing in her school’s rounders, netball and lacrosse teams - even going on to tour the USA with her secondary school lacrosse team. Alongside her passion for sports, Laura became fascinated in psychology due to its analytical nature and the insights it gave into the minds of those around her.
Shortly after finishing school, Laura was able to realise her life-long dream of travelling to South East Asia and then Down Under. However, things took an unexpected turn when was trapped by serious floods in Australia. After three weeks, Laura managed to flee the flooding only to arrive in Thailand at the height of monsoon season. Upon returning from her gap year, Laura decided to continue her love affair with precipitation and started her psychology undergraduate degree at Cardiff University.
In her final year at Cardiff Laura carried out a two-month experiment, involving over 100 people, to investigate the psychological consequences of emotional expression - impressive, we know! After an initial interest in PR, Laura decided that she wanted to move into a role that was more data and results driven - naturally PPC was a perfect fit (once she’d abandoned her childhood dream of being a taxi driver that is - true story).
