“The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude to the problem.”

Captain Jack Sparrow

Katie started out her wee days in Scotland, in the town where the battered Mars bar was invented, before moving to London when she was 4. She’s not a massive fan of Haggis but she has dabbled in a bit of Scottish dance – which in fact grew into a love for other types of dance as well including ballet and tap (this being whilst she wasn’t dreaming of being a panda, you can ask her about this if you meet her).

After achieving grade 6 in clarinet and grade 8 in piano and doing stints as an elf in a garden centre at Christmas time, Katie moved on to focus on sport which is what she now considers her passion. After achieving academic excellence in Maths, Psychology (and of course) Sport at A-Level, Katie enrolled at Loughborough university to study Management Sciences, which she describes as the perfect mix of developing both analytical and mathematical skills. Katie’s favourite modules were marketing focused, which lead her to get onto a highly competitive placement programme with Vauxhall in London as a digital marketing specialist during her placement year. This ignited Katie’s knowledge and soon to be passion for PPC after ‘trying a bit of everything’ including paid and organic search, web management and social media. Graduating with a first and a new found love for paid search naturally lead Katie to the doors of Merkle Periscopix not too soon after.

Whilst Katie isn’t managing our client’s PPC campaigns you can find her on the tennis court, on the ski piste or visiting any one of the corners of the globe.
