Bromley-born Joe, was an avid footballer in his younger days, stating that being scouted for Crystal Palace was his greatest sporting achievement. But a delayed growth spurt and a move down to Tunbridge Wells saw Joe’s footballing ambitions diminish. A lifelong Manchester United fan and singer-songwriter (who can’t sing), Joe studied Environmental Science at Oxford Brookes University where his crowning glory was writing a dissertation on Odonata; better known to you and I as Dragonflies.

Despite his thirst for studying this winged beast, Joe realised Environmental Science wasn’t his calling. Yet his love for animals and nature remained, inspiring a 6-month round the world trip. This adventure truly opened his eyes to the wider world, as he immersed himself in a diversity of cultures and habitats - Machu Pichu, Tokyo, the Amazon Rainforest, Halong bay, and Patagonia are just a handful of places Joe insists every person must one day visit.

Following his travels Joe worked as a project manager for a drinks start up that specialised in chilli infused soft drinks, aptly named Chillio. Chilli-Joe has assured us that the drinks were delicious and nothing like drinking liquid vindaloo! His role included sourcing the ingredients and overseeing all operations in their first ever production run.
