eCommerce Awards for Excellence

Now in its sixth year, the eCommerce Awards for Excellence are a definitive event within the eCommerce industry. Previous winners include Asda, House of Fraser, Eventbrite and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

In total Periscopix received eight nominations across five categories:


• Best Clothes, Shoes & Fashion eCommerce (Oasis, Warehouse, Coast)
• Best General eCommerce (Cath Kidston)
• Best Other eCommerce (Watchfinder & Co)
• Best Children's Clothing & Entertainment (Toys 'R' Us)
• Best Marketing & Advertising eCommerce Campaign (Watchfinder & Co and Toys 'R' Us)

Our Toys 'R' Us campaign won the award for the Best Children's Clothing & Entertainment eCommerce category.

The team had a great night at the awards which were hosted by Alistair McGowan, best known for his role in the BBC's The Big Impression.

We would like to thank the eCommerce Awards team for putting on a great show and we look forward to seeing everyone again at next year's event.

The Award Winning Campaign

Remember trips to the toy shop? If your folks were anything like ours, they'd only let you have one thing. So you had to consider carefully and pick with care. Well it turns out that grown-ups go through a very similar process when they're buying toys online. First they research – usually on their mobiles. Then they have a think. Finally, when they get home in the evening, they fire up their home computer, debit card in hand, and get ready to buy.

We know this because we did some highly creative data analysis, using some of Google's most innovative features. And it gave us a platform to completely turn around PPC performance for Toys "R" Us. In 2013 alone, we were able to generate more than £4 million amongst customers who weren't brand loyal.
