New search options on Google Images

Following on from our blog on the new Google search options panel we now bring you the update that Google has introduced a new search options tool for Google Images!
You’re just one extra click away from easily narrowing down your images so you can find the perfect one for you! All you have to do now is click on ‘show options’ as illustrated below, following this a new list of options appears to your left which should make your search so much easier.
So here’s a quick example of what you can do:
I run a search for Barcelona FC football shirts, a big selection appears, but then I decide I’d just like to see the home kit. Knowing that it includes the colour blue I can now just click blue from the list of specific colours and instantly I have pictures of the home kit appear, as shown below.
So now I decide I’d like to see the away shirts, so I click yellow from the colour list and I now have pictures of the away shirts to select from, shown below.
So the other fantastic options they have given us are to be able to choose a specific type of image, (for example clip art, photo or face) and the ability to alter the sizes of the images which appear, even giving us the option to search for a personally specified image size.
This I’m sure will prove to come in handy when narrowing down specific searches for images from the thousands which can appear in your search results!
