This looks similar to the “searches related to…” feature that normally appears at the bottom of a search, but in a more prominent place. What does this mean for the search marketer? Will users who normally type in very specific search terms move to more generic keywords, using the “also try” list to find different options? Should we expect an increase in impressions of generic keywords? Or will these only effect searchers who reach the bottom of the adverts?

It is still unclear whether these will become a prominent feature and how they are determined. They provide different options to the “searches related to…”. This is something that we should all be keeping an eye on over the next couple of weeks to see what effect it has. Once we have more information we will let you know!
