“'Data! Data! Data!' he cried impatiently. 'I can't make bricks without clay.'”

Sherlock Holmes

Did we mention we loved nerds? Well, Rob might just be one of our best yet. His love of science and data took him to study Physics at Durham. There must be something in the water up there because just like former mentor and fellow Durham alumnus Andy, Rob loves his side projects. In one such project at uni he built himself an app to help manage his lecture notes and materials, which can still be found on Github. In another, he designed and developed the website for the university gliding society, of which he was President.

Rob works in some enviable sectors for a nerd, implementing exciting tracking solutions with huge names across the tech and gaming industries. When he isn’t working on those he’s usually looking into new API’s we can use to bring exciting new predictive insights to clients or improve workflow efficiency internally. The rest of the time, he’s working on super-secret projects with the PXLabs team.

His down-time includes indulging his passion for open-source software in community projects online, playing piano and saxophone, or playing video games. He’s a long-time lover of skiing and also a bit of camping, relishing our magical, but rainy, 2016 weekend away. He’s also a regular at Comic Con; claims to fame include meeting local celebrity Dan Jennings!
