Amy grew up in sunny and warm South Africa where she enjoyed her childhood in the big outdoors. Attending a vivacious Greek school from the spritely age of 6, Amy became well informed on the European way of life (and food!). To her peers, Amy was known as the cat holder in town, after she managed to raise 14 cats simultaneously. Funnily enough, it was at the age of 14 that she moved to the UK, on New Year’s Eve - as you can imagine, going from 35C to -2C was a big adjustment.
This change also saw Amy losing out on one year of school. When she was finally able to join her new curriculum, Amy noticed that the British education system was very different to that in South Africa. She subsequently became a self-learner, teaching herself the ropes so that she could stand out. Amy hasn’t stopped being that way since, which is why she is up to date with every single new release that takes place in DoubleClick.
Amy attained a first-class honours degree studying Business & Enterprise at university, but it was her passion for tech & design that brought her to a web development company where she spent seven months learning the ins and outs of the industry. With a desire to use both her analytical mind and people skills, she decided that an account management route was more appropriate for her, so she joined the Periscopix team. It shouldn’t be a surprise to see Amy running some of our biggest programmatic campaigns.
When Amy is not at the office you can find her swimming (there are rumours that she’s been seen crossing the Atlantic), playing with her cats (yeah, she brought four over from South Africa) or watching ballet. She also has some travelling to do though, seeing as her family is spread all around the world: Australia, New Zealand and Gibraltar are some destinations on her bucket list.
